Techniques

The technique is to set up EW and QZ then to lay as many traps as possible. Then to set up EW and QZ again and pull the mob into the traps. Cast VIRULENCE as soon as the mob is suffering from any condition and try to keep up Virulence as it also causes weakness –very helpful against the Aatxe’s damaging hits. Enfeeble is very useful as it causes weakness and as this is a condition it allows you to cast Virulence immediately after. So you can keep the Aatxes permanently weakened.

After the first set of traps had gone off the new AOE AI causes the mobs to flee and return –whilst they flee the first time –drop FT and BT. After they flee from the FT the drop DT and BT .This way they are nearly always blind ie alternate FT and DT as they flee and return. NOTE the new shorter duration of DT makes it trickier than it used to be.

The static groups of Aatxes are on a leash centred on their starting point –ie they don’t follow you too far –this is useful to use BT (cripple +bleed) followed by Virulence if used at the limit of their leash. You can play with them !

The patrolling Aatxes are not limited in such a way and can not be ‘played with’ as described above. The Ghosts can be useful to hide behind and trap as you are protected but the traps still work.

When a Dying Nightmare appears just wand it to death (2 hits from a customised wand usually does it) or it will interrupt your trap laying.

Grasping Darknesses are quite easy. Just place as many traps as possible using the standard method and lure them as a group. They should die in one hit most of the time. If there are 1 or 2 stragglers just wand or trap as necessary.
